about delia

Delia grew up in a small town in North Carolina, went to a fancy theater conservatory in Pittsburgh, and then began her career in film and television as a costumer in Los Angeles.

After a decade of that work, she moved to Brooklyn, NY with her now husband to embark on a new journey. She started making things by hand to sell, which was more fulfilling to her than her film work. When she had a baby with a disability a few years later, they moved back to Los Angeles where life is categorically easier and sunnier. Delia began to take work as a custom artist, creating installation pieces for homes and offices. She takes pride in her memorial art pieces, which are made from the things our loved ones leave behind. With no real way to use or store them, Delia learns about her clients’ loved ones and creates pieces that memorialize them in a more meaningful way.

In 2024, Delia had a brain aneurysm and stroke that almost took her out. She has spent the time since getting her life back in many ways, and changing it in just as many. She is finally feeling creative again and burning with a need to make the world around all of us more beautiful and meaningful.
